As in the previous year, the annual charity run organised by Langensendelbach Primary School took place in July 2025.

The charity run is an annual fundraising event in which children seek sponsors to financially support their laps in order to raise money for charitable causes. This year, the children ran a total distance of approximately 1,500 kilometres. A great achievement by all the children, especially in the warm summer temperatures.

On that day, Director Heike de Clerk presented us with a cheque for the impressive sum of €2,500.
We will use part of the money to purchase sewing machines for the newly opened sewing workshop. In addition, we have promised the approximately 100 children at the home that we will treat them to a big trip to one of the nearby amusement parks near Madras in January 2026.

We at the support group would like to thank all the children, parents, sponsors and also Langensendelbach Primary School for this wonderful initiative.
The children and carers at the Hemalata children’s homes also sent us a heartfelt thank you with colourful posters.
